Magnetic Robotic Catheter Design

Description

We develop magnetic robotic catheters for safe and precise navigation in minimally invasive medical procedures. Your task will be to design novel catheter structures and integrate magnetic actuation strategies for steering, tracking, and image-guided control.

Successful applicants will contribute to interdisciplinary research spanning:

  • Continuum robotics
  • Magnetic actuation
  • Flexible mechanism design
  • Medical device prototyping
  • Robot kinematics and control

Education & Experience

Applicant should

  • have background in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or Physics
  • have high motivation
  • have good oral and written communication skills in English
  • be able to work on-site at METU Ankara

Applicant should have experience/knowledge in following areas:

  • Continuum robotics or soft robotics
  • Mechatronics (hardware/software integration)
  • Programming (C++, Python, ROS)
  • CAD design and prototyping
  • Embedded systems
  • Control algorithms (optional)
  • Magnetism and medical imaging (optional)
